Wild West Mural Fest is an annual weekend of painting aimed at bringing new public mural works to West Dallas. Muralists apply, and if accepted, are invited to paint their creations while members of the public follow an art walk around each site.
On the day of filming of the video above I had a few friends help fill color, which was fun.
I chose a Western theme, and painted a horse being started by a snake. Honestly, I did this because I think it’s funny/relatable to be terrified of something so small.
This was a street-facing mural on Sylvan Ave. The building was demolished in 2021, and this mural design is currently for sale.
