Ame is an upscale Indian-French fusion restaurant in the historic Bishop Arts neighborhood of Dallas.
Ame is french for ‘soul’, which is what Chef/owner Afifa Nayeb puts into all of her recipes. This passion served as the the inspiration for my designs.
When creating the logo and menus for the restaurant, I wanted to capture a joyful spirit and appreciation of nature.
A simple white menu background feels like a breath of fresh air. The header and logo florals are loosely watercolored, light-hearted and undeniably sweet.
I paired the organic shape with weighted and non-weighted sans serifs to represent the modernity of the plating at Ame, and fusion of tradition with contemporary food.
Later, I also hand-painted a small mural of the flowers at the bar.
